The weather

It makes no sense.
None of this makes sense.

I look out the window and see the overwhelming sunlight, it  annoys my eyes. It’s not easy to focus on the bushes across the street.

I go to the entrance of my apartment, put on some comfortable sandals and take the least amount I can with me: my wallet and keys. I wear my favorite shorts and a t-shirt with motifs taken from the Nether, in Minecraft.

I open the door and a cold breeze from the landing confuses me. It’s humid. the doors leading to melcs should have been left open, down from the garage.

I think I’ll go to the center for a while. Maybe I’ll eat on a bench beside the Fountain of Wishes, under some of the elderly trees of Delidia.

Touching the door handle to the hallway  I feel a shock of cold, but I think it’s more mental than physical …  I expected it to be hot, announcing the amazing and radiant day that awaited me on the other side.

I open the door.

Its raining. Its raining a lot. Its raining almost sideways, horizontal from this uninvited freezing wind. It rains on and on.

I close the door automatically. I look at my t-shirt and realize I have not been fast enough and I’m wet through to my underwear.

I go upstairs from the front door, almost running,  changing my clothes as quickly as possible. Every step sounds like a joyous child playing happily in a puddle.

I open the front door and I see from the hallway how sunlight floods the room.
What is this?
Yes, I had just experienced rain which traveled faster than a Ferrari going from nought to one hundred,  yet here I see the sun coming out again with a satisfied smirk one it’s face after it’s prank, this is too much.

I run to the main door unconsciously knowing what awaits me. I hear the rain on the other side. I open. I close with a loud bang. I’ll catch pneumonia if I continue doing this.

I go back to my apartment and, surprise, the most glorious  day of summer greets me as I expected.

I’m starting to worry.

am I going crazy?

I turn on the TV, let’s see if someone clarifies this for me from the other side of the screen. I have to close the curtains to see, it’s impossible with that reflection.

The public channel. Well, this is not the news …

“Friends of the neighbourhood. We recommend that you do not leave your homes today. During the day, we will hold shooting tests and military marches in the suburbs, preparing for the visit of the Director. The exercises could disturb your peaceful day. Nothing else to report. Communication agent 457 in Delidia. Have a good evening. “

I want to get up, angry, but I can’t find strength even in the tips of my toes. My eyelids weigh as much as two volumes of The Lord of the Rings. I don’t want to sleep …

There is no one right answer to this. In the end, it is a balance between cash flow and ultimate value. This is not unlike the question of whether to lease a car (better for cash flow) or buy outright (better for the ultimate bottom line). So it really depends on a family’s financial situation, which also might change over time (new kids are born, older kids move away, etc.)

Sorry I haven’t been around to field questions or comments today. Was out taking advantage of this beautiful weekend. Looking at the traffic logs it seems like everyone else was as well. And no, I’m not looking to buy a 1.3m home in Mountain Lakes in case anyone thought I was either wealthy or planing to IO my life away. Just a fan of Arts & Crafts architecture.. They’ve been tearing down and destroying the Hapgoods for some time now, so I try to get a good look whenever I can.jb
